Established in 1996 as a spin off from Seagram (Thailand), AMBROSE WINE LTD is Thailand's fourth largest importer of wines and spirits behind Diageo, Pernod Ricard and Bacardi. From our early beginnings as a specialist wine company, Ambrose's portfolio has grown to include world renowned beverage brands such as Hardy's, Pascal Jolivet, Baron Philippe de Rothschild, Robert Mondavi, Torres, Cointreau, Remy Martin, Fernet Branca and Voss. Leveraging our extensive experience and market knowledge, we work closely with our partners to increase brand value and capture additional market share.

Somphon Charumilinda, Managing Director of Ambrose Wine, has over 20 years management experience with leading multinational and local alcoholic beverage companies. He started his career in 1982 with Suramaharas distillery and joined Seagram Thailand in 1986.He left Seagram in 2002 as director of operations to join AsiaBev (Carlsberg). In 2004, Somphon joined Ambrose Wine Limited as managing director.
Our Executive Chairman and founder, Chawalit Techapaibul, is a third generation distiller. Initiated into wine culture at UCLA in 1974, Chawalit has been importing and distributing wine since 1984. He entered into alcoholic beverage industry in 1979, and in 1980 he assisted his father in constructing the largest portable alcohol distillery in the world of that time, Bangyikhan No. 2 distillery. Chawalit has been importing whisky, gin, rum and liquor since 1982. He is a wine enthusiast and enjoys the challenges of brand building.
A Family Business
Ambrose at its heart is still a family business, owned by the Techapaibul family who also serve on the company's Board of Directors. The Techapaibul family has been prominent in business and banking in Thailand for many years and was formerly joint venture partners with Seagram in Thailand.

Management Team
A core group of key Seagram Thailand personnel with over 100 years of collective knowledge of wine and spirits experience in sales and services founded Ambrose Wine in 1996. The Ambrose team has continued the market leadership, attained since Seagram period, through many economic cycles..
Sales and Distribution
Ambrose's sales force covers all the regions and provinces of Thailand. Additionally we have exclusive agents and branch offices to provide a stronger focus and better services in major tourist destinations. We distribute our products in all channels including on trade, off trade, traditional wholesaler, duty free and direct sales.
Our People
Ambrose currently employs 130 people: 72% in Sales and Marketing and the rest in Warehousing and Logistics. In addition Ambrose has a team of 50 in-store promoters who work as product consultants in leading retail stores throughout the country.
