His professional qualifications include a Chemical Engineering degree from West Virginia, U.S.A., and advanced certificates from Euro INSEAD (General Management), University of Michigan (Finance, Balanced Scorecard), and is a certified trainer in essentials of leadership and skills for empowered workforce.
Somphon has over 20 years management experience with leading multinational and local alcohol beverages company. He started his career in 1982 with Suramaharas Bangyikhan distillery and joined Seagram Thailand in 1986 as Seagram’s wine cooler plant manager. With 16 years at Seagram, he held various key positions in logistics, finance, I.T., external affairs, human resources & organization development, and new product development. He left Seagram in 2002 as director of operations & organization capability to joined AsiaBev (Carlsberg).
He joined Ambrose Wine Limited as managing director in July 2004. He strongly believes in people, and is team focused, customers & consumer focused, actions learning & communications, and has passion for actions and result oriented.
